We all have this deep biological need to share our stories and who we are.

Story helps us learn about ourselves, and when we do that, we can better understand each other. Strangers become friends. Enemies become allies.

Two months before my first son Niklas was born, I stepped onto the TEDx stage to reveal what I knew. I cracked open the barrier that keeps us from seeing our stories as worthy contributions to the world. I dug into ordinary moments of life to share how they could transform into something that feels downright extraordinary.

TEDx was the perfect place to pour my heart and give it my all. So that's what I did.

I hope the ideas I shared that warm autumn day resonate with you, too.
